On October 1, 2026, Acme Solar Holdings Ltd announced the commissioning of an additional 107.36 MW / 437.49 MWh of battery energy storage system (BESS) capacity across two projects in Rajasthan, India. This expansion brings Acme Solar's total operational BESS capacity to 4.96 GWh. The newly commissioned capacity includes the first phase of a Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) project located in Chittorgarh, along with additional capacity under an Assured Peak Power Project in Bikaner. The FDRE project, which has a capacity of 53.73 MW / 222.969 MWh, is situated at Neemri village in Tehsil Rawatbhata, Chittorgarh district, and is connected to the Neemuch substation. It has a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with a National Renewable Energy Implementing Agency (REIA). The project aims to provide reliable energy storage solutions that support the integration of renewable energy into the grid.

In addition to the FDRE project, Acme Solar has also commissioned 53.63 MW / 214.52 MWh of capacity under the Assured Peak Power Project, located at Kelan village in Bikaner, which is connected to the Bikaner III substation. This project also has a 25-year PPA with a National REIA. With this addition, the total BESS capacity commissioned under the Assured Peak Power Project has reached 159.58 MW / 638.32 MWh. Acme Solar anticipates commissioning the remaining BESS capacity of the full 300 MW project within the current financial year. The commissioning of this additional BESS capacity strengthens Acme Solar's operational energy storage portfolio in Rajasthan and underscores the company's commitment to enhancing renewable energy capabilities in the region.

The integration of battery storage solutions is critical for addressing the challenges of energy intermittency and ensuring a stable power supply, especially as renewable energy sources continue to grow. Looking ahead, Acme Solar plans to further expand its BESS capacity in Rajasthan, with additional projects set for commissioning within the current financial year. This expansion is part of a broader strategy to enhance energy storage solutions across India, supporting the country's transition toward a more sustainable energy future. As Acme Solar continues to innovate in the clean energy sector, its efforts will contribute to reducing carbon emissions and promoting renewable energy adoption on a larger scale.
