As of October 10, 2026, several scholarship programs are open to Indian students seeking financial assistance for higher education. These opportunities support students across various fields, including MBBS, engineering, STEM, management, and research. Funding ranges from one-time awards of ₹30,000 to annual grants reaching ₹10 lakh. Since many application deadlines fall in mid-to-late October, students are currently reviewing the requirements to submit their documentation.

One such option is the WINGS (Women INspiring Growth in STEM) Scholarship Programme, which provides ₹2 lakh per year to female students in undergraduate STEM courses at IIT Bombay. Funded by IIT Bombay alumnus Bharat Desai and his wife Neerja Sethi, the program is designed to support women entering these fields. To be eligible, applicants must maintain a Cumulative Performance Index (CPI) of 6.0 and must not be receiving other government scholarships.

The Concentrix Scholarship Programme offers another path, providing up to ₹65,000 annually for female MBBS students at government medical colleges. This scholarship is intended for students from families with an annual income of ₹5 lakh or less, helping to manage the costs of medical training. The application deadline for this program is October 30, 2026.

Engineering and technology students from lower-income backgrounds may apply for the Infocepts Innovate for Impact Scholarship, which provides up to ₹50,000 per year for a maximum of four years. Candidates must have achieved at least 60% in their 10th and 12th grades, and their family income should not exceed ₹6 lakh. This scholarship is open to students living in Bengaluru, Chennai, Pune, or Nagpur.

The Satya Scholarship Programme covers 100% of course fees for first-year medical students in Punjab, while also providing for accommodation and meals. This support is available to students from families with an annual income limit of ₹8 lakh. With application deadlines approaching, students are exploring these various programs to secure the financial assistance required for their education.
