rPlus Energies has begun commercial operations at the Green River Energy Center in Emery County, Utah. The facility pairs a 400 MW solar photovoltaic array with a 400 MW/1,600 MWh battery energy storage system. As the largest solar and storage project in PacifiCorp’s six-state service area, it highlights Utah's role in meeting the energy needs of the Western United States. The project supports the state's focus on reliable and affordable power, an objective shared by Governor Spencer Cox's Operation Gigawatt initiative, which aims to double Utah's energy output over the next decade.
