Juniper Green Energy commissions 101 MW wind capacity in India

On September 17, 2026, Juniper Green Energy Limited announced the commissioning of 101 megawatts (MW) of wind capacity across three Indian states: Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Rajasthan. This project marks a milestone for the company, enhancing its total operational portfolio to 2,689 MW of solar and wind capacity, along with 503 megawatt-hours (MWh) of battery energy storage systems (BESS). The newly commissioned capacity includes 45 MW under the Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd’s (GUVNL) Hybrid Phase I project and 40 MW under GUVNL Hybrid Phase II, both located at the Charadva GETCO substation in Gujarat. This commissioning reflects Juniper Green Energy's commitment to expanding its renewable energy footprint in India.

Following this latest addition, 145 MW of the 150 MW GUVNL Hybrid Phase I project and 70 MW of the 120 MW GUVNL Hybrid Phase II project have become operational. Additionally, the company has completed the commissioning of its contracted capacity for the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (MSEDCL), achieving a total of 75 MW—consisting of 50 MW of solar and 25 MW of wind capacity—more than two months ahead of its scheduled commercial operation date. Juniper Green Energy's successful commissioning of over 100 MW of wind capacity within a short timeframe demonstrates its strong project execution capabilities.

According to Ankush Malik, the Whole-time Director and CEO, this milestone reflects the company’s ability to efficiently deliver large-scale renewable energy projects across multiple sites and states. The operational capacity achieved contributes to India's renewable energy goals and supports the transition to a sustainable energy future. The company is actively involved in developing projects across various segments, including solar, wind, hybrid, and firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE).

With an operational portfolio of approximately 2.69 GWp and 503 MWh of BESS, Juniper Green Energy aims to convert its contracted project pipeline into operational and revenue-generating assets in a timely manner, furthering its mission of promoting clean energy solutions.
