This brings the total installations for the first half of the year to 23.9 GW, sufficient to power over 4 million homes. The increase in capacity was largely driven by the operational launch of Pattern Energy’s SunZia Wind project in New Mexico. With a capacity of 3.5 GW, it stands as the largest land-based wind project in U.S. history.
